At Marist College, The Steel Plant Studio & Gallery hosts student run events and gallery exposes throughout the semester for both the fashion and fine art students. During my senior year, my work has been showcased periodically within the Fashion Gallery in Steel Plant. These events include The Toile Exhibit and The Walkway Over The Hudson Exhibit. All of these exhibits focused on the senior designer collections and how they would adapt them to a commercial market.

The Toile Exhibit:
This exhibit showcased all of the senior designers toiles for their senior collection. This gave insights to the other students about the creative process of developing the senior collections as well as setting the mood for what will be coming down the runway for the Silver Needle Runway Show 34 in May.
Walkway Over The Hudson:
This exhibit showcased how the senior designers would translate their senior collection into the commercial form of a T-Shirt. For my senior collection “Take Flight”, I wanted to design a print that was abstract and simplistic that represented a feminine floral motif. The graphic is inspired by a topographical map that can also be translated as a floral design. Being that aviation is my collection inspiration, I wanted to incorporate both ideas into my garments to create a more personal print.
